T20 World Cup 2024: Uganda bagged an unwanted record during their match against West Indies in Group C of the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. Batting second Brian Masaba-led Uganda were bowled out for 39 runs in 12 overs equalling the record previously held by Netherlands.
Chasing a target of 174, Uganda was rocked early in the innings by a mesmerising spell of spin bowling by Akeal Hosein. The West Indian bowler was simply unplayable as none of the batsmen had answers to his variations. Hosein grabbed five wickets in his allotted four overs and conceded just 11 runs. In doing so, Akeal Hosein recorded his first five-wicket haul in T20 cricket.
