GAIL Q4 Results: Profit Down 22.5% On Weak Operational Performance

GAIL (India) Ltd.'s net profit declined in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024 due to weak operational performance.

Net profit for India's largest natural gas distributor fell 22.5% to Rs 2,474 crore in the January-March quarter, as compared with Rs 3,193 crore last quarter, according to the exchange filing issued on Thursday.

GAIL India Q4 FY24 Highlights (Consolidated, QoQ)

  • Revenue fell 5.6% to Rs 32,756 crore versus Rs 34,698 crore.

  • Ebitda fell 8.6% to Rs 3,848 crore versus Rs 4,208 crore.

  • Ebitda margin narrows to 11.7% versus 12.1%.

  • Net profit down 22.5% to Rs 2,474 crore versus Rs 3,193 crore.

Shares of GAIL fell 3.26% on the BSE, as compared with a 0.83% rise in the benchmark Sensex on Thursday.
