Jharkhand Exit Poll Results 2024: Neck-And-Neck Contest, Independents Hold Key

Exit polls for the Jharkhand assembly election 2024 predict a close contest where neither of the two main alliances is hitting the majority mark. A poll of polls compiled by NDTV gives the opposition National Democratic Alliance 39 wins in a house of 81, while the ruling INDIA bloc is ahead in 38.

Such a narrow margin puts independent and other candidates in a sweet spot, as at least four are expected to win.

Several exit polls released on Wednesday predict a second term for the BJP-Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction)-NCP (Ajit Pawar faction)-led Mahayuti alliance for the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024. While three agencies—Dainik Bhaskar, P-Marq, and Lokshahi Marathi-Rudra—have predicted a hung house in Maharashtra.

On the other hand, the Electoral Edge exit poll has predicted victory for the Congress-Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray)-NCP (Sharad Pawar faction)-led Maha Vikas Agadi alliance in Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Exit Polls 2024 Live: When Lok Sabha Prediction Went Bust

The Lok Sabha exit polls in Maharashtra went for a throw when the results arrived in June.

The National Democratic Alliance was projected to win a larger number of seats in Maharashtra on the back of the Bharatiya Janata Party retaining its turf, even as allies Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party contend with losses.

As per five exit polls, the NDA was expected to win more than 30 seats out of 48 in Maharashtra. The opposition INDIA bloc that counts the Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) was likely to secure at least 15 seats.

At the end, the MVA scored a big win when results came, securing 31 seats, while the Mahayuti got pushed to 17.
