6 Years Too Late: Mumbai Man Gets Call From Flipkart Customer Care Over Undelivered Slippers

A Mumbai man got a call from Flipkart's customer care for an order he had placed six years ago on the e-commerce website. Ahsan Kharbai took to social media platform X to share the incident.

He posted a screenshot of a pending order of slippers from 2018. He had ordered brown/red Sparx slippers on May 16, 2018, for Rs 485. The order was shipped on May 19, 2018, and was supposed to get delivered the next day, but never reached him. However, recently, he received a call from Flipkart's customer support inquiring about the issue with the order.

"After 6 yrs @Flipkart called me for this order. Asking me what issue I was facing," read the post.

A Hindustan Times report mentioned Kharbai had recently clicked on the order, following which he got the call from Flipkart. The customer care executive enquired if he had received any calls from the logistics team and apologised for the inconvenience.

The report further mentioned that since it was a cash-on-delivery order, he did not stretch the issue further or cancel the order. All he wanted was for the Flipkart team to close the order as it kept popping up on his order list every time he used the e-commerce site.

A user asked him why he had not cancelled the order when it was not delivered. The Mumbaikar reverted there was a technical glitch, and he could not do so.

Yet another user shared a glimpse of his pending order:
