Indigo Fined Rs 1 Lakh For Alleged Visa Violations

IndiGo has been fined Rs 1 lakh by the Bureau of Immigration for suspected violations related to visas.

InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., the parent company of IndiGo, stated in a regulatory report that the fine imposed has not caused any significant effects on the company's finances, operations, or other functions.

The Bureau of Immigration, a Home Ministry department, has levied the fine of Rs 1,00,000.

The communication regarding the penalty for alleged "visa-related violations" was received by the airline on June 11, as per the filing on Tuesday.

Specific details were not disclosed.

Providing an explanation for the delayed disclosure to the BSE, the company said it was "exploring possibilities for filing of appeal against the order".
