Tata Motors Ltd. has unveiled an all-new electric bus, among a clutch of commercial vehicles, at Bengaluru’s Prawaas 4.0—an event aimed at promoting sustainable mobility.

The Tata Ultra EV 7M is a zero-emission, fast intracity electric bus designed for urban mass mobility. It is powered by a 213 kW electric motor and an IP67-rated 200 kWh lithium-ion battery with fast charging for a range of 160 km on a single charge. It can be fully recharged in 2.5 hours. The vehicle’s compact dimensions allow it to tackle narrow lanes and high-traffic urban commutes with equal ease.

The fully electric drivetrain is complemented by advanced safety features, including an electronic braking system and electronic stability control.

“(The Ultra EV 7M) is perfectly suited for both metros and smaller cities, addressing the unique demands of our customers,” Anand S., vice president and head of Tata Motors’ CV business, said in a statement.

Prawaas is a three-day biennial event highlighting safe, smart and sustainable integrated mass mobility solutions.
