HFCL Granted Exemption From European Anti-Dumping Duties On Optical Fibre Cables
HFCL has operated in Europe for over a decade, maintaining long-term relationships with leading telcos and ISPs in many European countries.
HFCL announced on Monday that it is the only Indian optical fibre cable manufacturer exempt from anti-dumping duties by the European Commission.
On June 14, the European Commission determined that HFCL is the only Indian company not engaged in dumping OFC in European markets. All other Indian OFC manufacturers are subject to provisional anti-dumping duties.
Europacable filed a complaint on Oct 3, on behalf of the European OFC industry, alleging that imports from India were being dumped and causing harm to the European industry.
The European Commission conducted a probe into all relevant Indian OFC manufacturers' products, infrastructure, and financial data.
Following a thorough investigation, the European Commission ruled in June 2024 that anti-dumping duties would not apply to HFCL Group's products, which include HFCL Limited and HTL Limited, as there was no evidence of dumping.
