'Can't Wait To...': Virat Kohli Shares Video Of His Stunning Luxury Home In Alibaug | WATCH

The video features Kohli himself explaining the allure of the location and the sense of peace it evokes.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli on Tuesday shared a video showcasing his stunning Alibaug home. The clip shared on Instagram, chronicles the 12-month construction process that brought Kohli's vision to life.

Kohli captioned the video as, "The journey of building my Alibaug home has been a seamless experience, and seeing it all come together is truly gratifying. Huge thanks to the entire Avas team for making our dream home a reality. Can’t wait to enjoy every moment here with my loved ones!"

The video features Kohli himself explaining the allure of the location and the sense of peace it evokes.

In the video, Virat says, "When I heard the plan, when I heard the project in itself is very unique. You have a sense of community, but at the same time, you have your own privacy and access to all the amenities you would need in a holiday home. The fact that you have a world-class spa, right next door, which is the USP for me. A project like that was a no-brainer for me."

"I love the living space the most and the access to the outdoors from the living space. Aesthetically, the home is done beautifully and is exactly what I like with the interiors and natural light coming in, It's very subtle. It's very classy. The space allows you to just unwind and not worry about anything else and just go with the pace," he added.

According to Architecture Digest India, Virat was looking for a space with a soul, with a sense of belonging and community—a home that is a testament to his own taste.

The house, built over a 10,000-square-foot plot by architects at SAOTA led by Phillippe Fouché, the Californian Konkan-style four-bedroom villa celebrates "raw luxury".

What really stands out in the home is its integration of biophilic principles. Bathed in the glow of natural light streaming through expansive windows and glass walls, it commits to sophistication and sustainability, qualities that resonated with Virat’s idea of a holiday home.

According to Virat, the most interesting feature is the double-height cut-out ceiling in the living space, as it welcomes natural light.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli announced his retirement from T20 Internationals after guiding India to their second T20 World Cup win in Barbados. Kohli said after collecting the Man of the Match award that it was his last T20I match for India.

When asked if he was making the official announcement about him calling it a day, he said, "Yes I have, this was an open secret (retirement). Not something that I wasn't going to announce even if we had lost. Time for the next generation to take the T20 game forward."
