Non-Life Insurance Sees Muted Premium Growth Due To Fire, Crop Seg In August: CareEdge

The non-life insurance premiums for the first five months of FY25 grew at a sedate pace of 10.5%, the brokerage adds.

In August 2024, the non-life insurance industry reported a premium of Rs 24,554.3 crore growing at 4.2% compared to the drop of 3.7% reported in August 2023.

The industry’s muted growth for August 2024 can be attributed to the drop in Fire and crop insurance segments, meanwhile the growth continues to be underpinned by the retail health, and motor own-damage segments.
