All India average cement price (trade segment) dropped by ~4.6% YoY and ~2.5% QoQ in Q2 FY25: The average exit price for Q2 stood at ~Rs 354 (a decline of Rs 14 YoY and Rs 9 QoQ) which is equivalent to five-year low.
On a QoQ basis, prices remained flattish in eastern and central region, while south/north/west witnessed a price decline in the range of 2-3%.
However, there is a decent price improvement in non-trade segment in almost all the pockets except central India. Non-Trade segment exit prices stood at Rs 271 per bag in Sep-24 versus Rs 257 per bag in Aug-24 i.e., an increase of 5.7% month-on-month.
