Adani Green Energy Ltd.'s profit nearly doubles in the first quarter of fiscal 2025.
The renewable energy company's net profit rose 95% year-on-year to Rs 629 crore in the quarter ended June 2024, in comparison with Rs 323 crore in the previous quarter, according to an exchange filing on Thursday.

Ebitda rose 26% to Rs 2,420 crore.
Ebitda margin at 85.4% versus 88.9%.
Net profit rose 95% to Rs 629 crore.
The robust growth in revenue, Ebitda and cash profit is primarily driven by a capacity addition of 2,618 megawatts over the last year, the company said.
The company also claims that operational efficiency led by advanced technology and real-time monitoring of the renewable plants has consistently helped them secure higher plant availability, leading to higher power generation.
"It has led to a reduction in operations and maintenance costs, resulting in an industry-leading Ebitda margin of 92.6%," the company said.
“Adani Green is well on track to achieve its 2030 capacity target of 50 GW, including at least 5 GW of energy storage in the form of pumped hydro, with sites already secured and clear visibility on evacuation," said Chief Executive Officer Amit Singh.
Operational Performance
The company expanded the operational capacity by 31% year-on-year to 10,934 MW with greenfield additions, including 2,000 MW of solar capacity in Khavda, 418 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan, and 200 MW of wind capacity in Gujarat.
Energy sales increased by 22% year-on-year, led by robust capacity additions and strong operational performance, the company said.
The power producer emphasised that it has always exceeded the generation commitment under the power purchase agreements. In fiscal 2024, Adani Green's PPA-based electricity generation was 111% of the annual commitment. "In the first quarter, AGEL has already generated 31% of the annual commitment," the company said.
Shares of Adani Green closed 6.10% up on the BSE compared with 0.14% drop in the benchmark BSE Sensex.
