The National Testing Agency on Friday announced that the CSIR UGC-NET examination is postponed due to "unavoidable circumstances" and "logistical issues". The revised schedule for the conduct of this examination will be announced later through the official website, the NTA said in a statement.

"The candidates are hereby informed that the Joint CSIR-UGC-NET Examination June 2024, which was scheduled to be held between 25.06.2024 to 27.06.2024 is being postponed due to unavoidable circumstances as well as logistic issues," as per the NTA statement.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Thursday that the government would form a high-level committee to probe irregularities and vowed action.

On Wednesday, the UGC NET exam was scrapped following input received from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit over concerns that the integrity of the examination may have been compromised. A retest was declared, the date of which is yet to be announced.
