Adani Foundation: 25,282 Units Collected During Blood Donation Drive On Gautam Adani's Birthday

The drive resulted in as many as 25,282 units, or approximately 9,800 litres, of blood being collected.

Adani Foundation, the branch of the Adani Group focused on community involvement, held a nationwide blood donation event on June 24 in celebration of the 62nd birthday of Group Chairman Gautam Adani. The initiative covered 152 urban areas, spanning 21 states in India.

Organised under the guidance of the Adani Healthcare team, the drive received an impressive response from employees. As many as 25,282 units—approximately 9,800 litres—of blood was collected.

According to the Adani Foundation, this can help more than 73,500 patients through the use of different components, such as whole blood, PCV, platelet concentrates, plasma, FFP, cryoprecipitate and albumin. The collection this year surpassed last year’s 20,621 units.

The blood donation event was conducted in collaboration with Red Cross blood banks and government hospitals. More than 2,000 doctors, paramedics, data operators, and Adani company staff worked together to ensure the success of the blood collection campaign.

Adani Foundation has been hosting the yearly blood donation event since 2011 in honour of Gautam Adani's birthday. The organisation is dedicated to tackling important issues and promoting long-term, comprehensive community development.
