Overseas investors remained net buyers of Indian equities for the third consecutive session on Tuesday.

Foreign portfolio investors mopped up stocks worth Rs 376.3 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors also remained net buyers and purchased equities worth Rs 273.9 crore, the NSE data showed.

Foreign institutions have been net sellers of Rs 28,268 crore worth of Indian equities so far in 2024, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd., updated till the previous trading day.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 127.20 points, or 0.59%, higher at 21,743.25, and the S&P BSE Sensex gained 482.70 points, or 0.68%, to end at 71,555.19.
