Nifty, Sensex Snap Two–Day Fall In Diwali Muhurat Trade 2024 Session: Market Wrap
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex rebounded from two–day decline in an annual special trading session for the occasion of Samvat 2081. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., and Oil Natural Gas Corp Ltd. shares contributed to the Nifty 50 index.
The Nifty 50 ended 0.39% or 94.20 points higher at 24,299.55, and the Sensex ended 0.42% or 335.06 points higher at 79,724.12.
During the session, the Nifty 50 rose as much as 0.67% to 24,368.25, and the Sensex jumped 0.80% to 80,023.75.

On NSE, in the special Diwali muhurat trading session, 11 sectors ended higher, and one ended lower out of 12.
Broader markets outperformed benchmark indices. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices ended 0.69% and 1.16% higher, respectively.
On BSE, all 21 sectors ended higher in the short trading session for samvat 2081. The BSE Auto index ended with the most gains, while the BSE Focused IT with least gains.
Market breadth was skewed in favour of buyers. Around 3,036 stocks advanced, 542 stocks declined, and 70 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex rebounded from two–day decline at open of special trading session on the occasion of Diwali 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. share prices added to the gains in the benchmark index.
As of 6:05 p.m., the Nifty 50 was trading 0.56% higher at 24,341.50, and the Sensex was trading 0.57% higher at 79,849.60.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. HDFC Bank Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., NTPC Ltd., and ITC Ltd. added to the Nifty 50 index.
Grasim Industries Ltd., Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., and Britannia Industries Ltd. weighed on the index.
On NSE, all 12 sectors opened higher with the NSE Nifty Realty rising the most.

Diwali Muhurat 2024 Trading Live: Nifty, Sensex Rise At Pre–Open
At pre–open, the NSE Nifty 50 was trading 0.4% higher at 24,324.90, and the BSE Sensex was trading 0.97% higher at 80,155.76.

Diwali Muhurat Trading Live: A Look Back At Samvat 2080
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex gained over 20% each in Samvat 2080. However, broader markets outperformed benchmark indices. The NSE Nifty Midcap 150 gained 36% while the NSE Nifty Smallcap 250 rose nearly 40%.
Trent Ltd. Bharat Electronics Ltd., and Bajaj Auto Ltd. were the best performing Nifty 50 stocks in the previous samvat. Meanwhile, IndusInd Bank Ltd., and Bajaj Finance Ltd. were the worst performing stocks.

Nifty, Sensex To Open For Special Trading Session For Diwali 2024
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex indices will open to trade for a special session on occasion of Diwali 2024 Friday. Market analysts see the crucial resistance zone lies in the range of 24,300-24,000 for muhurat trading session.
Indian stock markets will open from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., according to data on National Stock Exchanges. The pre-opening session will start from 5:45 p.m. on Friday. For details on timings click here.
