Congress On The Way To Vidhan Soudha With BJP In Tow, Show Exit Polls

Most exit polls showed Congress set to win Karnataka in a close contest with BJP, while one has predicted a clean sweep for the grand old party. The poll of polls shows Congress bagging 117 seats in the Karnataka assembly elections, whereas BJP can get 84 seats.

JD(S) could play the role of kingmaker if need arises, with the poll of polls giving the HD Deve Gowda-led party 21 seats.

Voter Turnout At 65.69% By 5:00 P.M.

Voting percentage climbed up to 65.69% by 5:00 p.m. as polls entered their last leg on Wednesday. More than 5.31 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise during the polls this year.

Three-Way Contest In Karnataka 

Polls for the Karnataka assembly elections saw 65.69% voter turnout by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The votes will be counted on May 13.

The three major political parties in the fray—Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and JD(S)—are eager to score a victory in the southern state.

Ahead of the election results, psephologists from various agencies are set to come out with their exit polls for the Karnataka elections.
