N Chandrababu Naidu, the president of the Telugu Desam Party, has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday at Amaravati. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior National Democratic Alliance leaders, and chief ministers from several other states were in attendance at the oath-taking ceremony.
Popular actor Rajnikanth and Tollywood bigwigs, such as actor Chiranjeevi, his son Ram Charan, and Allu Arjun were also present at the ceremony.
The event took place near an IT park in Kesarapalle, close to Gannavaram airport, near Vijayawada.
Along with Naidu, 24 MLAs from the NDA were sworn in as ministers. This group includes 21 MLAs from the TDP, three from the Jana Sena Party, including party chief Pawan Kalyan, and one from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Out of the total 175 Assembly constituencies, the NDA secured 164 seats—135 won by the TDP, 21 by the JSP, and 8 by the BJP. The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party won the remaining 11 seats.
