Waaree Energies Bags Order To Supply 900 MW Solar Modules

Waaree Energies Ltd. has won a contract from Serentica Renewables India Pvt. to supply 900 megawatt solar photovoltic modules.

Waaree Energies will be delivering the modules for a project located in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India, the company said in a statement Monday. The project is likely to be one of the country's largest solar power plants, with Waaree modules included.

The project, once completed, is expected to increase the region's renewable energy capacity and help reduce carbon emissions.

Waaree Energies will likely deliver the top-Con bifacial modules from August 2024 to February 2025, the company said in a statement.

Waaree Energies is the is the largest manufacturer of solar PV modules, with the largest aggregate installed capacity of 12 GW as of June 30, 2023, the company said citing Crisil report.
