Indian multinational mining company Vedanta announced on Wednesday that its board of directors will meet on Sept. 2 to consider and potentially approve the third interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25.

The decision was announced through an exchange filing made by the company. The record date for determining the entitlement of equity shareholders to the dividend, if declared, has been set for Sept. 10.

The second interim dividend for the period was announced on July 26 at Rs 4 per equity share—on a face value of Rs 1 each—and it totalled to Rs 1,564 crore.

In accordance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015, Vedanta has also announced that its trading window will remain closed for all designated persons from Aug. 29 to Sept. 4, both days inclusive. This measure is intended to prevent insider trading during the period leading up to the announcement.

Vedanta is a global natural resources and technology conglomerate operating across India, South Africa, Liberia and Namibia.

Shares of the company closed 0.34% higher at Rs 465.50 per share, compared to a 0.14% advance in the NSE Nifty 50. The stock has risen 95.65% year-to-date and 80.26% over the past 12 months.
