Warburg, Creation Investments Sell 10.2% Stake In Fusion Micro Finance For Rs 572 Crore

Warburg Pincus, through its affiliate, Honey Rose Investment Ltd. sold 64.57 lakh shares (6.39%), while Creation Investments Fusion offloaded 38.41 lakh shares (3.8%) for Rs 555.6 apiece.

Promoters Warburg Pincus LLC and Creation Investments Fusion LLC sold a combined 10.19% stake in Fusion Micro Finance Ltd. for over Rs 572 crore via market transactions.

Of the promoters, Warburg Pincus, through its affiliate, Honey Rose Investment Ltd. sold 64.57 lakh shares (6.39%), while Creation Investments Fusion offloaded 38.41 lakh shares (3.8%) for Rs 555.6 apiece, according to BSE's bulk deal data.

HDFC Mutual Fund bought 31.29 lakh shares (3.09), Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte. mopped up 17.80 lakh shares (1.76%), and Franklin Templeton Mutual Fund purchased 9 lakh shares (0.89%), among other buyers.

As of September this year, Honey Rose Investment held 39.22% stake in the company, while Creation Investments Fusion held 13.78% stake.

Warburg Pincus has been the majority stakeholder with 48.6% stake in the company, and Creation Investments with two entities held 30% stake, as on Sept. 30, 2022.

Warburg Pincus acquired Fusion Micro Finance at an average cost of Rs 194.94 apiece, while Creation Investments bought stake at Rs 104.07 apiece.

During the initial public offering of Fusion Micro Finance in November 2022, Honey Rose Investment and Creation Investments offloaded 14 lakh shares each.

Shares of Fusion Micro Finance closed 6.05% higher at Rs 596.80 apiece on the NSE, as compared with a 1.23% advance in the benchmark Nifty 50.
