Siemens Bags Rs 113-Crore Order From PGCB

Siemens Ltd focuses on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization.

New Delhi: Siemens Ltd on Wednesday said that it has won an order worth around Rs 113 crore from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh to design, procure, supply and install gas-insulated switchgear substation and transformers.

"Siemens Ltd... together with Siemens Bangladesh Ltd... has won an order worth approximately Rs 113 crore from Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) to design, procure, supply, install, test and commission 230/132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear Substation along with 225/300 MVA, 132/33 KV and 50/75 MVA Transformers at Keraniganj within Dhaka," Siemens said in a filing to the BSE.

"With the latest reliable 230kV and 132kV GIS solution from Siemens, PGCB will be able to ensure transmission grid stability and provide better service to consumers across Bangladesh," said Harald Griem, executive vice president and head of energy management division at Siemens.

Siemens focuses on the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization.

At 2:35 p.m., shares in Siemens were trading 2.65 per cent higher at Rs 1,239.10 apiece on the BSE, whose benchmark Sensex index was up a marginal 0.01 per cent.
