Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Happy New Year continues to fly high at the box office. Happy New Year has made a total business of nearly Rs 325 crore worldwide in 10 days, says a report. Happy New Year has made a gross business of Rs 260 crore at the domestic box office and Rs 64.50 overseas, says the report from trade website Koimoi.com.
This makes Happy New Year the seventh highest Bollywood of all time, according to the report. Shah Rukh Khan also has another Rs 300 crore grosser to his name, with 2013 hit Chennai Express.
Based on overseas box-office numbers, the report also puts Happy New Year among the top 10 Bollywood grossers of all time.
Released on Friday, Happy New Year also set new box-office records for first day as well as opening week collections. Produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Farah Khan, Happy New Year is a heist drama.
Speaking on the success of the film, Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore had earlier said, "Happy New Year has set another new benchmark. We are grateful for the ongoing love and support of audience."
Happy New Year also features Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, and Vivaan Shah.
