Persistent Systems Ltd. said on Wednesday that it acquired Starfish Associates, a New Jersey-based company known for its enterprise communications automation platform.
This acquisition aims to enhance Persistent’s capabilities in AI-powered contact centre and unified communications, The Pune-based ocmpany said in an exchange filing. The details about the deal transaction was not disclosed.
Starfish Associates provides an automation platform that connects various business applications and communication systems. It manages multi-vendor communication through platforms such as Amazon Connect, Avaya, Cisco, Genesys, and Microsoft Teams. It also integrates with business applications like ServiceNow, Workday, and Microsoft Active Directory to streamline workflows and operations.
Persistent Systems will integrate Starfish Associates' platform with its own AI-powered automation capabilities. This acquisition is expected to improve efficiencies and workflows for Persistent’s customers.
Shares of Persistent Systems closed 1.94% higher at Rs 4,586 apiece, compared to a 0.69% rise in the benchmark BSE Sensex.
Company Dissolves Unit Software Company International
In a separate announcement, Persistent Systems has dissolved Software Company International, LLC, a step-down subsidiary. The dissolution took effect on June 27, following the certificate of dissolution from the Secretary of the State of North Carolina on July 2. This decision is part of Persistent’s efforts to streamline its operations.
