The Union Minister for Finance, Nirmala Sitharaman, is travelling to the United States on an official visit beginning April 18, 2022.
During her visit, Ms Sitharaman will attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) & World Bank, the Group of 20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governor (FMCBG) meetings.
Bilateral meetings with many countries, interaction with the faculty and students at Stanford University, one-on-one meetings with the chief executives from the sectors that are the government's focus, the finance ministry statement showed.
According to the ministry, the Finance Minister is also scheduled to hold one-on-one meetings with CEOs from the semiconductor, energy and other priority sectors.
Meetings with the World Bank's president, a panel discussion run by IMF's managing director called "Money at a Crossroad," and an event at the Atlantic Council are also on the agenda.
