New Delhi: Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has invited bids from international firms for setting up solar power projects having total capacity of 260 MW in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
"Bids...are invited by NLC, Neyveli for setting up of four blocks of Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Project of 65 MW AC capacity each (2 blocks in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu and 2 blocks in Barsingsar, Rajasthan)," the company said.
The scope of work for each block includes design, engineering, manufacture, operation and maintenance for five years including one year warranty period, it said.
According to the company's website, it is setting up a 25 MW Barsingsar Solar PV Project at a cost of Rs 167.29 crore.
The project is proposed to be implemented through EPC route and would be commissioned in 2016-17. Work order for technical consultancy has been issued to Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation of Tamil Nadu (ITCOT).
The country has set a target of 175 GW (gigawatt) of renewable energy capacity by 2022 which includes 100 GW of solar power.
