Kerala Floods: IndiGo To Provide Cancellation Waiver Till September 10

IndiGo had a fleet of 160 Airbus A320 and 9 ATR aircraft as of June 30, 2018.

Budget passenger carrier IndiGo resumed normal flight services to and from Cochin international airport from Wednesday, said a press release issued by the carrier. The relief flights operating from Naval base are discontinued now.  The relief flights were added by the airline on account of Kerala floods. However, IndiGo is providing cancellation and rescheduling waiver to passengers travelling to/from Kochi, till September 10, 2018 for bookings made before August 22, 2018, the release added.  Customers can book flight tickets via airline's official website- goindigo.in. 

According to the notification received from Cochin international airport, full scale operations started from Wednesday.

IndiGo has recently announced addition of Kuwait and Abu Dhabi to its network. As part of the international expansion, Kuwait will be the 57th and Abu Dhabi will be the 58th destination on IndiGo's network. Its new international services will commence from October 2018.

IndiGo also announced the launch of flights on new domestic routes. It claimed that it is the first domestic airline to introduce flights connecting Port Blair with Hyderabad and Vadodara. These flights will commence from September 2018.

The carrier is currently offering up to 15 per cent discount on domestic and international flight tickets. In order to avail the offer, customer can do the booking till today, i.e. August 30, 2018. The travel period of the offer starts on September 8, 2018 and ends on October 8, 2018.

IndiGo had a fleet of 160 Airbus A320 and 9 ATR aircraft as of June 30, 2018. The airline offered 1,157 peak daily flights during the quarter and connected 44 domestic destinations and 8 international destinations, the press release added.
