Budget passenger carrier IndiGo is operating three daily additional relief flights to and from Kochi naval base in view of the current flood situation in Kerala, said the carrier in a press release issued on Monday. IndiGo's additional relief flights will be operated till August 26, 2018. As part of relief measures, a special customer support team has also been designated who are working 24*7 to assist affected passengers and families, said IndiGo. According to the carrier, the airline is also providing cancellation and rescheduling waiver to passengers booked to travel from August 16, 2018 to August 31, 2018.

"We are consistently liaising with local partners to transport relief materials including medicines, dry rashan and sanitary items. We are with Kerala in this difficult time and we hope the situation stabilises soon", said IndiGo. Kochi Naval base is in Willingdon Island, Kochi, Kerala, 682003 and is not Cochin International Airport, IndiGo further released the statement.
Meanwhile, reviewing Kerala's situation, IndiGo is also offering additional flights to and from Kozhikode, Coimbatore and Trivandrum till August 25, 2018.
IndiGo had a fleet of 153 Airbus A320 and 6 ATR aircraft as of March 31, 2018. The airline offered 1,086 daily flights during the quarter and connected 42 domestic destinations and 8 international destinations, a press release issued by the carrier said.
