IRCTC Summer Special Northern Railway Trains: Routes, Timings, Other Details Here

Tickets for special trains can be booked online from IRCTC website.

Indian Railways' northern division has announced certain special trains with an aim to clear the summer season rush. The Northern Railway - which caters to one of the zones served by Indian Railways - has started operating five special trains in the Express, AC Express and Garib Rath Express series, according to a notification by the Railways divison. Tickets for these special trains can be booked from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism (IRCTC) website or railway reservation centres. The special trains are being operated on the routes of Chandigarh-Gorakhpur, New Delhi-Barauni, Jammu Tawi-Udaipur and Anand Vihar-Chhapra, according to the Indian Railway notification. Here are some of the key details of the new IRCTC special trains (routes, timings, train schedule and train number):

Chandigarh-Gorakhpur Special Train

The train (number 04924) departs from Chandigarh at 11:15 pm every Thursday and reaches Gorakhpur at 5:30 pm the next day. The trains departs from Gorakhpur every Friday at 10:10 pm and reaches Chandigarh at 2:25 pm the next day.

The train stops at the Ambala Cantt, Saharanpur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda and Basti stations.

New Delhi-Barauni-New Delhi AC Special Train

The train (number 04404) departs from New Delhi railway station every Tuesday and Friday at 7:25 pm, and reaches Barauni Junction at 7:45 pm the next day. The train departs from Barauni at 9:35 pm every Wednesday and Saturday, and reaches New Delhi at 10:10 pm the next day. The train halts at the Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Sewan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzzafarpur and Samastipur stations.

Delhi-Barauni-Delhi AC Special Train

The train number departs from Old Delhi Railway Station every Monday and Thursday at 11:15 am, and reaches Barauni, Bihar at 9:30 am the next day. The train departs from Barauni at 12:00 pm every Tuesday and Friday, and reaches Delhi at 12:40 pm the next day. The train stops at the Moradabad, Bareilly, Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Sewan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzzafarpur and Samastipur stations.

Jammu Tawi-Udaipur Garib Rath Express Weekly Special train

The train (number 04972) Jammu departs from the Jammu Tawi station every Thursday at 9:30 am and reaches Udaipur at 9:20 am the next day. The train departs from Udaipur every Friday at 1:50 pm and reaches Jammu Tawi at 3:20 pm the next day. The train halts at the Pathankot Cantt, Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, Dhuri, Jakhal, Hissar, Bhiwani, Rewari, Khairthal, Alwar, Bandikui, Dausa, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Madar, Ajmer, Nasirabad, Bijaynagar, Bhilwara, Chanderia, Bechhiwara, Mavli and Ranapratapnagar stations.

Anand Vihar-Chhapra Special Train

The train (number 04036) departs from the Anand Vihar Terminal Railway Station in Delhi every Tuesday at 10:50 pm and reaches Chhapra at 7:30 pm the next day. The train departs from Chhapra every Wednesday at 11:30 pm and reaches Anand Vihar at 8:30 pm the next day. It halts at the Moradabad, Bareilly, Sitapur Cantt, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur and Siwan stations.
