Adani Foundation Donates Rs 100 Crore For Young India Skills University In Telangana

Ports-to-power conglomerate Adani Group, through its corporate social responsibility arm Adani Foundation, has donated Rs 100 crore for the setting up of Young India Skills University in Telangana.

The donation cheque was handed over to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy by a delegation of Adani Group officials led by Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Adani.

"A delegation from Adani Foundation, led by Chairperson of Adani Group, Mr @gautam_adani, met with Hon’ble Chief Minister @revanth_anumula garu to handover a donation cheque of Rs 100 crore towards the establishment of Young India Skills University," the Telangana CMO posted on X.

"Mr Adani also promised continued support for the initiatives of Telangana state government for skills development, and empowerment of youth," it added.

"Privileged to contribute to the transformative vision and inspiring leadership of Revanth Reddy with the Young India Skills University initiative. Together, we are not just shaping the future of our youth - we are unlocking the boundless potential for a brighter, more prosperous India. Here's to creating a lasting legacy that will uplift generations to come!" Adani wrote in a post on 'X'.

Gautam Adani had also contributed Rs 25 crore to the Andhra Pradesh government on Sept. 19, 2024, after the state was adversely affected by heavy rains on Sept. 2. It was reported that close to 12 people died due to flooding in the state.

The billionaire had previously donated Rs 5 crore on July 31, 2024, to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund when the state's Wayanad district was affected by landslides. The death toll was found to be at around 150.

The Adani Foundation held a blood donation drive across the country on June 24 to celebrate Chairman Gautam Adani's birthday. The Adani Healthcare team collected close to 9,800 litres of blood.
