New Delhi: Logistics major Blue Dart Express' standalone net profit dropped marginally by 1.4 per cent to Rs 44.08 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 44.72 crore for the same period last year, Blue Dart Express said in a BSE filing.
The net sales of the company during the quarter increased to Rs 621.37 crore against Rs 616.86 crore in the year-ago period, it said.
"The company posted Rs 440.84 million profit after tax for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. Net Sales/Income from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 stood at Rs 6,213.71 million," it said in a press statement.
Blue Dart Managing Director Anil Khanna said that "despite a restrained macroeconomic environment, our commitment to India's business has been strengthened with our continued investments in technology, aviation and ground infrastructure, focus on core express products/services in air, ground and e-tail."
