AU Small Finance's Shareholder Offloads Stake For Rs 845.10 Crore

Westbridge AIF I sold 1.94% stake in the company through an open market transaction on Wednesday.

The public shareholder of AU Small Finance Bank sold a 1.94% stake in the company for Rs 845.10 crore through an open market transaction on Wednesday.

Westbridge AIF I offloaded 1.3 crore shares for 650.08 apiece, according to bulk deal data on the NSE. As of March, Westbridge AIF I held a 3.82% stake in the company. Goldman Sachs Investments Mauritius I Ltd. bought 43.34 lakh shares (0.64%) at Rs 650 per share.

AU Small Finance Bank provides multiple banking and financial services, including retail and wholesale banking and other businesses.

On Wednesday, the equity markets witnessed a record session of deals worth over Rs 20,800 crore, among other small trades.

Shares of AU Small Finance Bank closed 1.24% lower at Rs 657.70 apiece on the BSE compared with a 0.05% rise in the S&P BSE Sensex.
