'PK' was just over Rs 3 crore short of the first week tally of Aamir Khan's 2013 film Dhoom 3, early estimates by trade website Koimoi.com showed. Aamir Khan-starrer PK, which recorded opening day collections of Rs 26.63 crore, collected an estimated Rs 182.39 crore in its first week at the domestic box office as against Dhoom 3's Rs 185.50 crore in the corresponding period, Koimoi says.
Released on December 19, a 'non-holiday', PK was earlier widely expected to break the first week box-office record of Dhoom 3, aided by Christmas day collections during the week.

The Aamir Khan-starrer saw business of an estimated Rs 12-14 crore on December 26 - the second Friday since its release. This takes PK's total collections to Rs 195 crore, says Koimoi.
Collections so far make the film the "highest non-holiday opener" of 2014, and the second highest after Dhoom 3, the website adds.
