Chinese Girl Asks Elon Musk To 'Fix An Error' On Her Tesla Screen, Musk Responds
Molly's post, along with Musk's response, quickly went viral on social media platforms. Musk drew praise for his attentiveness to customer concerns.
A young Chinese Tesla owner, Molly, recently reached out to CEO Elon Musk on social media to report "an important bug." A video of Molly's request, which also has a response from Musk, has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter).
In the video, Molly says, "Hello Mr Musk. I am Molly from China. I have a question about your car. When I draw a picture, sometimes the lines disappear like this. You see it? So can you fix it? Thank you."
Molly demonstrates the flaw in the video. When she draws a new line or mark, the lines or marks she previously drew vanish or are no longer visible on the screen. Tesla Motors CEO replied with a, "Sure."

Some even praised his "attention to kids." A user wrote, "You’re awesome. My 10 year old, nephew LOVES Synthesis! Thank you for your attention to kids." [sic] Another echoed the same sentiment and wrote, "Where else can you find a multibillionaire running a multibillion corporation responding to a kid half way around the world? Except in X." [sic]

China Lifts Restrictions, Gives All-Clear Nod For Tesla Cars
In April 2024, Elon Musk met Chinese Premier Li Qiang and other officials to discuss lifting all restrictions on moving and parking of Tesla vehicles in some sensitive areas in the country such as government agencies, as well as launching the vehicles' full self-driving functions in the country. The restrictions were imposed over fears of breach of sensitive and strategic data.
Post the meeting, Tesla was included in the list of 76 models of intelligent connected vehicles that meet the country’s auto data security requirements.
Tesla has sold more than 1.7 million cars in China since it entered the market in 2012 and located its biggest factory in Shanghai, where Musk enjoys high levels of political support for the project.
