The Nifty posted the best winning streak in nearly 17 years.
The NSE Nifty 50 settled 99.60 points or 0.40% higher at 25,151.95, while the S&P BSE Sensex ended 349.05 points or 0.43% higher at 82,134.61.

Reliance Industries, ITC, Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance and HCL Technologies led the gains in the Nifty.

The market breadth was skewed in the favour of the sellers as 2,510 stocks fell, 1,435 rose and 102 remained unchanged on the BSE.
