Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched the world’s first-ever CNG two-wheeler on Friday. The bike, named ‘Freedom 125', has a duel feature option giving riders access to switch between fuel and CNG.

The bike has a tank capacity of 2 liters for fuel as compared to traditional bikes that can store up to 10-12 liters. It has an additional capacity of 2 kg of CNG.

The 'Freedom 125' bike can give a mileage of 213 kilometers per kilo of CNG.

In his speech at the unveiling of the bike, Road Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari remarked that the running cost of 'Freedom 125' stands at Re 1 per kilometer.

The starting price of the CNG bike is Rs 95,000 for the base Drum variant. The Drum LED variant is priced at Rs 1.05 lakh and top Disc variant is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh.
