Tata Consultancy Services has launched TCS AI WisdomNext, a platform that aggregates multiple generative artificial intelligence services into a single interface and enables organisations to adopt next-gen technologies at scale, lower costs, and adhere to regulatory frameworks.

The platform aims to remove barriers for customers to develop and launch business solutions, allowing for real-time experimentation across vendor, internal, and open-source large language models.

AI and Gen AI have applications across the value chain for businesses. However, solution designers find it difficult to select, experiment with, and decide on the right foundational models to use. A recent TCS study found that while executives are positive about the impact of AI, they are less certain about the path to transformation.

The AI WisdomNext platform is designed to help businesses choose the right models and simplify the design of new business solutions using Gen AI tools. It also enables businesses to reuse pre-existing components to accelerate the design.

“TCS AI WisdomNext helps our customers take advantage of Gen AI to unlock the full potential of their data, drive greater business innovation and efficiency, and gain a competitive edge,” said Siva Ganesan, head, AI.Cloud Unit, TCS.

In the testing phase, the company has leveraged the platform for its customers to build prototypes. According to TCS, these examples include fast-tracking sales for an outdoor advertising company, real-time inventory availability and quote generation with maps integration, enhancing productivity and efficiency across the application migration and modernisation lifecycle for an insurance provider, and improving customer experience through a smart mortgage assistant for a bank.

According to TCS, features of the platform include:

  • Preconfigured industry solution blueprints.

  • Intelligent ‘evaluator bots,’ which enable organisations to compare available gen AI models and related technology stack choices.

  • Scenarios to optimise gen AI running costs using the platform’s native intelligence.

  • Centralised governance with in-built guardrails for compliance with local regulations and best practices.

  • Portability feature across cloud platforms and gen AI ecosystems.

  • Hyper-personalised experiences for customer satisfaction.
