ESAF Small Finance Bank Ltd.'s total deposits rose 33.4% to Rs 20,887 crore in the first quarter of fiscal 2025, according to provisional figures released by the bank.

The bank's gross advances rose 30.04% on a yearly basis to Rs 18,783 crore during the quarter, compared to Rs 14,444 lakh crore in the same period last year, according to an exchange filing on Thursday.

The Current Account Savings Account ratio—the proportion of deposits that come from low-cost current and savings accounts—rose to 23.59% from 18.22% in the year ago period. A higher CASA ratio indicates a lower cost of funds, since lenders don't usually give any interest on current account deposits and the interest on saving accounts is low.

Gross non-performing asset stood at 6.61% as of June 30, 2024, compared to 4.76% in the previous quarter. Net non-performing assets were at 3.22%.

Shares of the company closed 0.45% lower to Rs 52.66 apiece, compared to a 0.06% advance in the NSE Nifty 50.
