Mumbai Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory in view of the grand victory parade organised in the city for the Indian cricket team, which is returning after its historic T20 World Cup victory.

The victorious team will take part in an open bus road show followed by a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai after arriving from New Delhi.

The victory procession will be held between 5 and 7 pm from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium, an official told PTI.

Mumbai: Roads Closed And Alternate Routes

To avoid inconvenience to commuters, the following traffic arrangements will be in place from 3 pm to 9 pm today in Mumbai:

Road Closed: N S Road North Bound

  • N S Road North Bound will remain closed for all types of vehicular traffic, except emergency vehicles proceeding both bounds from NCPA to Meghdoot Bridge (Princess Street Bridge).

Alternative Route:

  • At Ramnath Poddar Chowk (Godrej Junction), drivers can take a right turn via Maharshi Karve-Road Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Chuchgate Junction) -Marine Lines-Charni Road-Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House).

  • At Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Junction, drivers can take a left turn via Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil-CTO Junction.
