Mumbai Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory in view of the grand victory parade organised in the city for the Indian cricket team, which is returning after its historic T20 World Cup victory.
The victorious team will take part in an open bus road show followed by a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai after arriving from New Delhi.
The victory procession will be held between 5 and 7 pm from Nariman Point to the Wankhede Stadium, an official told PTI.
Mumbai: Roads Closed And Alternate Routes
To avoid inconvenience to commuters, the following traffic arrangements will be in place from 3 pm to 9 pm today in Mumbai:
Road Closed: N S Road North Bound
N S Road North Bound will remain closed for all types of vehicular traffic, except emergency vehicles proceeding both bounds from NCPA to Meghdoot Bridge (Princess Street Bridge).
Alternative Route:
At Ramnath Poddar Chowk (Godrej Junction), drivers can take a right turn via Maharshi Karve-Road Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Chuchgate Junction) -Marine Lines-Charni Road-Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House).
At Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Junction, drivers can take a left turn via Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil-CTO Junction.

Meghdoot Bridge (Princess Street Bridge) to NCPA/ Hutatma Rajguru Chowk (Mantralaya Junction) will be closed for all types of vehicles as per requirement.
Alternative Route:
Drivers are advised to take a left turn from Kemps Corner Bridge and proceed to the desired destination at Nana Chowk.
From RTI Junction take a left turn to N S Patkar Marg - Pandit Paluskar Chowk- (Opera House). From there, take a left to SVP Road. Drivers can also take a right turn at Pandit Paluskar Chowk- (Opera House) and proceed to the desired destination via Maharshi Karve Road.
From Vinoli Chowapatty Junction, drivers can take a left turn and proceed to desired destination via Maharshi Karve Road.
From Princess Street Bridge, drivers can take a left turn to Shamaldas Gandhi Marg -Vardhaman Chowk and proceed to the desired destination.
Road Closed: Veer Nariman Road (North Bound)
North bound Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Chuchgate Junction) to Kilachand Chowk (Sunder Mahal Junction).
Dinshaw Vacha Road-North bound from WIAA Chowk to Ratanlal Babuna Chowk (Marine Plaza Junction).
Barrister Rajni Patel Marg Barrister Rajni Patel Marg North bound from Sekhar bhavan junction to N S Road will be closed for all types of vehicles.
Alternative Route For Vehicles
Proceed to desired destination via Maharshi Karve Road - Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Chuchgate Junction) - Marine Lines - Charni Road-Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House Junction).
Maharshi Karve Road - Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Churchgate Junction) -Marine Lines - Charni Road - Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House Junction).
Drivers can take a right turn after Hotel Trident 'Out Gate' to Sakhar Bhavan junction - Barrister Rajni Patel Marg - Usha Mehta Chowk Free press circle to proceed to their destination.
Road Closed: Madam Cama Road And Vinay K Shah Marg
Northbound will remain closed for all types of vehicles from Hutatma Rajguru Chowk (Mantralaya Junction) to Venutai Chavan Chowk (Air India Junction)
Northbound from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Murali Deora Chowk -N S Road Vinay K Shah Marg leading to the road will be closed for all types of vehicles.
Alternative Route For Vehicles
Vehicles can go via Maharshi Karve road Ramnath Poddar Chowk (Godrej Junction) - Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Chuchgate Junction) --Marine Lines-Charni Road-Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House Junction).
Ramnath Goenka Marg - Sekhar Bhavan junction - Right turn-Barrister Rajni Patel Marg -Free Press circle and proceed to the desired destination.
No Parking Places
Traffic police have requested commuters to use public transport such as railways and trains. Both bounds of coastal roads will be open for traffic. The traffic after and before the coastal road will be diverted from Princess Street Bridge/Meghdoot Bridge.
