Petrol And Diesel Now Cheaper In Mumbai; Check Prices In Major Indian Cities On July 1

The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister and state Finance Minister Ajit Pawar during the presentation of the annual state budget.

The petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai have witnessed a slight decrease. As of July 1, 2024, petrol is priced at Rs 103.44 per litre, while diesel is retailing at Rs 89.97 per litre.

The Maharashtra government on Friday slashed the value-added tax (VAT) on fuel in the Mumbai metropolitan region, which has made petrol cheaper by 65 paise per litre and diesel by Rs 2.60 per litre.
