Banks across India will be closed for a total of 11 days in June, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This includes four holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, plus the regular closures on the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

It is important to remember that holidays can vary by state. In June, significant holidays affecting bank schedules include Bakri ID.

Full List Of Bank Holidays In June 2024

  • June 1, Saturday: Banks will be shut in Himachal Pradesh due to Lok Sabha Elections 2024

  • June 2, Sunday

  • June 8, Saturday

  • June 9, Sunday

  • June 15, Saturday: YMA Day/Raja Sankranti: Banks in Mizoram and Odisha will remain closed  

  • June 16, Sunday

  • June 17, Monday: Bakri Eid (Eid-ul-Zuha): Banks will remain closed all over India, except Mizoram, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

  • June 18, Tuesday: Bakri Eid (Eid-ul-Zuha): Banks in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed

  • June 22, Saturday

  • June 23, Sunday

  • June 30, Sunday

RBI categorises holidays into three categories:

  • Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act

  • Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday

  • Banks' Closing of Accounts.
