Adani Foundation To Aid Treatment Of Girl With Physical Impairment

The Adani Foundation will aid in the treatment of a physically impaired young girl from Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri.

The girl named 'Lovely' from Kandharapur village in Lakhimpur Kheri lives with her elderly grandparents. She studies in class five at a local school.

After her condition was shared by an NDTV journalist on social media platform X, billionaire Gautam Adani expressed sorrow and announced the non-profit arm of the conglomerate would support her treatment.

"It is sad that a daughter's childhood is taken away like this! The struggle of Lovely and her grandparents at such a young age shows that a typical Indian family never gives up. The Adani Foundation will ensure that Lovely gets better treatment and can progress like other children," Adani said.

The Adani Foundation carries out social activities for children, women, youth, and marginalised communities in the core areas of education, community health, sustainable livelihood, community development, and climate action.
