The Two Stocks That Witnessed Highest FII Activity On Tuesday

Rama Steel Tubes Ltd. and Vijaya Diagnostic Centre Ltd. witnessed the highest foreign investor activity in Tuesday's trading session.

On Tuesday, overseas investors continued their buying streak by mopping up stocks worth Rs 314.5 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

In July, foreign portfolio investors bought stocks totaling Rs 7,250.10 crore.

On Tuesday, while most FPIs were buyers, Aviator Global Investment Fund sold 1.1 crore shares, or 0.7% stake, in Rama Steel Tubes at Rs 10.71 apiece, according to the bulk deal data on the BSE.

Al Mehwar Commercial Investments LLC, which manages assets worth $88.2 million, sold 22.5 lakh shares, or 2.19% stake, in Vijaya Diagnostic Centre at Rs 783 apiece. Of this, Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund bought 18 lakh shares, or 1.75% stake, at Rs 783 apiece, according to the bulk deal data on the NSE.

India's equity benchmark indices rebounded sharply to end at a record high on Tuesday as shares of Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. led the gains.

The NSE Nifty 50 settled 112.65 points, or 0.46%, higher at 24,433.20, and the S&P BSE Sensex ended 391.26 points, or 0.49%, up at 80,351.64.

Intraday, the Nifty rose 0.51% to a fresh high of 24,443.60, and Sensex gained 0.55% to 80,397.17.
