Market participants eagerly anticipate the release of the US Federal Reserve's policy meeting and inflation print later today.

JM Financial is looking at Nifty crossing the 23,500–23,700 levels in the next seven sessions. Traders can stay long in the NSE Nifty 50 till the 23,000 is held, which is the broader support level, said Akshay P Bhagwat, senior vice president, JM Financial.

The last couple of days have been pretty quiet for the NSE Nifty 50 index. Considering the huge degree of volatility of daily trading over 1,000 points, which we noted last week, the NSE Nifty was taking a momentum break. Slowly, the momentum is picking up, Bhagwat said. The volatility index has shifted below the 15 mark, so normalcy is back in the system.
