Benchmark equity indices snapped their five-day fall and opened higher as shares of Reliance Industries, M&M, and ICICI Bank led the gains. At pre-open, the Nifty was up 79.45 points or 0.35% at 22,568.10 while the Sensex rose to 74,208.53, higher by 322.93 points or 0.44%.
