Rupee Closes Lower Amid Fall In Dollar Index, Oil Price
The currency depreciated 10 paise to close at Rs 83.80 against the US dollar.

The Indian rupee closed weaker on Monday, pressured by a rise in the dollar index and Brent crude oil prices.
The currency depreciated 10 paise to close at Rs 83.80 against the US dollar after opening at Rs 83.72. It had closed at Rs 83.70 on Friday, according to Bloomberg.
Brent crude oil price fell 0.11% to $71.90 per barrel, while the US dollar index fell 0.11% to 100.2660.
"Markets are awaiting PMI data from major economies and US non-farm payroll data on the 4th," Anil Bhansali, executive director at Finrex Treasury Advisors LLP, said. "Fed Chair Powell will also be speaking this week."
