FPIs Turn Net Sellers After A Day

Overseas investors turned net sellers of Indian equities on Thursday after a day.

Foreign portfolio investors offloaded stocks worth Rs 1,879.6 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors remained net buyers and mopped up equities worth Rs 872.5 crore, the NSE data showed.

Foreign institutions have been net sellers of Rs 24,004 crore worth of Indian equities so far in 2024, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd., updated till the previous trading day.

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 28.25 points, or 0.13%, lower at 21,697.45, and the S&P BSE Sensex fell 106.81 points, or 0.15%, to end at 71,645.30.
