FPIs Turn Net Buyers After Two Days

Foreign portfolio investors mopped up stocks worth Rs 65.6 crore, according to provisional data from the NSE.

Overseas investors turned net buyers of Indian equities on Tuesday after two consecutive sessions of selling. Foreign portfolio investors mopped up stocks worth Rs 65.6 crore, according to provisional data from the National Stock Exchange.

Domestic institutional investors remained net buyers for the seventh straight day and mopped up equities worth Rs 3,231.7 crore, the NSE data showed.

Foreign institutions have been net buyers of Rs 16,505 crore worth of Indian equities so far in 2024, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd., updated till the previous trading day.

The NSE Nifty 50 closed 44.30 points, or 0.19%, lower at 22,888.15, and the S&P BSE Sensex ended 220.05 points, or 0.29%, down at 75,170.45.
