Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Election Results: PM Modi Wins Varanasi Seat, NDA Lags In Ayodhya

Prime Minister Narendra Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha Constituency with 6,12,970 votes. In Ayodhya, BJP candidate Lallu Singh was trailing behind Samajwadi Party candidate Awadesh Prasad by a margin of 15,423 votes.
Uttar Pradesh has the highest representation of 80 Lok Sabha seats in India. The state voted in all seven phases between April 19 and June 1, with a total voter turnout of 56.92%.
The state has previously produced several Prime Ministers, and the incumbent Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, was leading in the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency with 5,17,370 votes. Ajay Rai of the Indian National Congress was trailing with 3,78,341 votes, a margin of 1,39,029 votes.
Rahul Gandhi was leading in the Congress stronghold of Raebareli by a margin of 2,81,797 votes, while Smriti Irani was trailing in Amethi by 95,962 votes as of 02:31 p.m.
In the 2019 election, the BJP won 62 seats in the state. The Samajwadi Party won five seats. The Bahujan Samaj Party won 10 seats. The Congress managed to gain only a single seat.
