2024 Mumbai Lok Sabha Election Results: Full List Of Winners

Union Minister Piyush Goyal from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won his debut elections by a huge margin of 3,57,608 votes from Mumbai North.

The Election Commission of India has declared results for all the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies. Mumbai had six seats out of 48 in Maharashtra state. Maharashtra has the second highest seats in the Lok Sabha after Uttar Pradesh, which has 80 seats.

Mumbai has six Parliamentary constituencies and Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) has four. The constituencies are:

  • Mumbai North Central

  • Mumbai North East

  • Mumbai North West

  • Mumbai South

  • Mumbai South Central

  • Thane

  • Kalyan

  • Bhiwandi

  • Palghar

Union Minister Piyush Goyal from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won his debut elections by a large margin of 3,57,608 votes from Mumbai North. Goyal got approximately 6,80,146 votes, while Congress' Bhushan Patil bagged 3,22,538 votes.

Congress candidate Varsha Gaikwad won from Mumbai North Central seat. She defeated lawyer Ujjwal Nikam of BJP by 16514 votes.

Shiv Sena's Ravindra Dattaram Waikar secured the lowest victory margin in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, defeating Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Amol Gajanan Kirtikar by a mere 48 votes from the Mumbai North West constituency. Waikar polled 4,52,644 votes, while Kiritikar received 4,52,596 votes.

In Mumbai North East, BJP candidate Mihir Kotecha for whom PM Modi participated in a special roadshow at Ghatkopar, lost the seat to Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Sanjay Dina Patil.

Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate, Arvind Sawant, a two-time MP from South Mumbai won for the third time. He polled 3,95,655 votes, defeating Shiv Sena candidate Yamini Jadhav. Sawant bagged 52,673 votes more than Jadhav.

Jadhav was among the 39 legislators who switched sides to the Eknath Shinde faction.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Desai defeated sitting Shiv Sena MP Rahul Shewale from the Mumbai South-Central Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 53,384 votes. Desai polled 3,95,138 votes, while Shewale got 3,41,754 votes. Mumbai South-Central constituency had become a battle of prestige for Uddhav Thackeray as the Shiv Sena Bhavan and Shivaji Park where the party was founded is located in this constituency.

Mumbai Lok Sabha Election 2024 Winners

BJP candidate Hemant Savara defeated Bharti Kamdi of the Shiv Sena (UBT) by a margin of 1,83,306 votes from the Palghar Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra. Savara, the son of veteran BJP leader late Vishnu Savara, polled 6,01,244 votes, while Kamdi got 4,17,938 votes.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son and Shiv Sena candidate Shrikant Shinde won by a margin of 2,09,144 votes from the Lok Sabha constituency of Kalyan. Shinde received 5,89,636 votes, while Shiv Sena (UBT)'s Vaishali Darekar-Rane bagged 3,80,492 votes.
