Bugatti Tourbillon: 10 Captivating Images Of The $4.1 Million Hybrid Hypercar

"Tourbillon" is the French word for whirlwind.

Bugatti owned by Volkswagen AG has introduced a hypercar called "Tourbillon" in a bid to push towards EVs. This is the second Bugatti to come out of the Porsche AG and Rimac joint venture that was formed in 2021.

The $4.1 million Tourbillon coupe pairs a 8.3-litre naturally aspirated V-16 powertrain with two electric motors placed in the front and one electric motor placed at the rear axle.

Bugatti Tourbillon Gearbox

Tourbillon is powered with an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The center console between the two seats blends crystal glass and aluminium to showcase control knobs and switches set along a vertical column.

Bugatti Tourbillon Top Speed

The Tourbillon can hit a top speed of 276 mph, according to the French automaker.

Bugatti Tourbillon Steering Wheel

At the centre of the steering wheel, Swiss watchmakers created an intricate three-gauge instrument cluster with the look of a high-end wristwatch featuring over 600 components. Made from titanium, sapphire and ruby, the skeletonized gauges remain fixed in place as the steering wheel rotates around them.

Bugatti Tourbillon Peformance

The 9,000 rpm Bugatti can reach 0-100 kmph in 2 seconds and can reach 300 kmph in less than 10 seconds. With a top speed of 445kmph the Tourbillon can touch the speed of 400 kmph in less than 25 seconds.

Bugatti Tourbillon Screen Display

The only screen inside the cabin, which displays Apple CarPlay and vehicle data, remains hidden unless requested by deploying it from the top of the center console. It extends to full landscape mode in five seconds.
